MIL, is a course that introduces the learners to basic understanding of media and information as channels of communication and tools for the development of individuals and societies. It also aims to develop students to be creative and critical thinkers as well as responsible users and competent producers of media and information.
Divided into four units and each unit comprising of four chapters, this book addresses the need for a comprehensive resource material for students' use in and out of the classroom. The authors, in planning and writing this book, strictly followed the scope and sequence of topics in the Syllabus (appended in this book) provided by the Department of Education. Unlike other books on the same subject that are available in the market, all topics in the Syllabus are covered in this book, thereby, guaranteeing that students will not be short changed and will notmiss out on anything required by the course. Yet, the discussions of each topic are straightforward and concis, henece, the phrase made simple in the title of this book. In other words, the lessons in each chapter are presented in small chunks for easier and better digestion, so to speak." --Provided by publisher
