The first part contains the preliminary chapters which introduce the students with the concept of public policy. This part brings into focus the nature of public policy and the evolution of the field of public policy. The second part involves the other essential chapters which complement the initial discussion of the concept of public policy. This part contains the models and categories of public policy, policymakers and their environment, and policymaking in the government. The third part covers the different stages which treat of public policy as a purposive course of action. This part includes the stages of the policy problem and agenda setting, policy formulation, policy adoption, policy implementation, and policy evaluation.
