Summary: "The contents of this book seek to remind us that when united, we can achieve great things: we may successfully pursue peace with our enemies (as was achieved between MILF and the Ramos administration); through dialogue and collaboration we may push through drastically needed reforms (as we achieved through the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council, the LEDAC); and we may succeed in reclaiming and protecting our freedom (as was done duing the 1986 EDSA revolution). The speeches / articles, and anecdotes contained herein are a reminder that we must guard against reactionary tendencies - in other words, that we should appeal to the politics of hope, rather than fear; love rather than hate. They speak to a reverence of democratic pluralism, and recognition of the value of every human life, and the respect with which we should treat one another." --From Samuel Alaister Ramos-Jones
