Summary: "The Filipino Odyssey is an interactive and integrative textbook series for Social Studies in the grade school that will guide the students as they discover their Filipino Identity. The series is considered to be a journey, as each lesson is guided by a boy and a girl who will explain, remind, entice, and direct them. The series hopes that with the help of the two kids, the students' journey toward learning and understanding, and even performing the tasks, will be enjoyable and engaging. The series aims to respond to the Learning Area Standards prescribed by the Department of Education's K to 122 Curriculum for Social Studies. Students are expected to show understanding of concepts and studies about people, groups, communities, and society-how they lived and how they have been living, how they relate to one another, how they interact with their surroundings. and what their culture and beliefs are-to form an identity as a Filipino, a person, a citizen of our country, and a citizen of the world; understand one's society with the use of research skills, analytical skills, and informed decision-making skills, creativity skills, critical thinking, social skills, human resource skills, and communication skills.
