Summary: "The primary framework of the book is the provisions of the Civil Code on Sales, specifically Book IV, Title VI (Sales), Articles 1458-1637. Thus, the book consists of the nine (9) Chapters of Title VI, its Subsections, and all of its one hundred eighty (180) Articles from Article 1458 to Article 1637. The Chapters are arranged consecutively; while, the Articles are discussed or explained, individually or collectively, in accordance with their order and their connection to each other. The substance of the explanations, examples and/or illustrations of the different Articles are generally based on Philippine jurisprudence or cases decided by the Supreme Court; instead of foreign jurisprudence or opinions of foreign authors whose legal systems are quite different from ours. By percentage, 99% came from Philippine jurisprudence and legal experts; and only 1% from foreign jurisprudence and authors. Thus, the explanations, examples and illustrations are more adaptive to Philippine legal system. The discussion, explanation, example and illustration are presented in a way that can be understood by non-lawyers. The example shows directly the application of the law; while the illustration is presented in a question and answer format, which will either show the applicability or the non-applicability of the Article that is being discussed. There are also cases provided under important Articles in order to fortify the explanation about them with regard to their necessity, importance and/or applicability. The presentation of some of the cases includes not only the usual facts, issue and ruling; but also the ponente, contention of the parties, and the applicable law. In addition to the discussion of a particular Article or related Articles, other relevant topics, provisions of other laws, doctrines and principles are likewise included thereunder. The author is optimistic that the book will provide assistance and guidance to the members of the legal profession, law students and those who may be interested in engaging in different sale transactions." --REXESTORE
