The book consists of six parts. The nature and requirements of Technical Writing, which is vastly different from ordinary writing, are discussed in Chapter One. Chapter Two deals with technical writing style. Chapter Three presents the special techniques of technical writing. Chapter Four presents different types of technical reports. Chapter Five deals with the writing of effective business letters. Finally, Chapters Six discusses research skills and the preparation of research reports. Each chapter has objectives, which the students could use to measure their accomplishments after every lesson. There are also study guides to help the students understand their reading assignments and to aid them in recapitulating what they have studies in each unit.. -- By the author
