In the same manner, practitioners in other disciplines benefit from using this as a convenient tool to approach problems collanboratively with their recipients and beneficiaries.<br/><br/> While in the beginning action research was thought of to be a significant technique for social workers to "improve their practices," teachers, and other practitioners as well, find action research as a practical, useful, and effective tool to fine tune their routine activities and discover ways by which they can deliver better services to their clients; practical, because the practitioners conduct and complete the research while they deliver services in their own setting. It is useful considering that improvements can be infused simultaneously while the services are being delivered; and effective because the clients actively participate and immediately benefit from the process.<br/><br/> The flexible nature enjoyed by action research as a qualitative research, in terms of design, sampling requirements, instrumentation, data collection procedures, and statistical data analysis, make this type of research distinct and different, but not any less credible, from the usual conventional scientific investigations." -- Domingo B.
