520 _a"This specialized worktext in Animation by Innovative Training Works, Inc. (IT Works) was designed to develop and hone the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of students on competencies leading to Animation National Certification II (NC II). It aims to equip students with computer skills and knowledge needed to be competent individuals in the field of animation. This course provides the competencies that are most important to animators, such as personal entrepreneurial competencies (PECs), environment and market, and producing cleaned-up and in-between drawings which are aligned to the standards set by the Department of Education for senior high school level. Animation Volume II is divided into four units: Unit I covers PECs and environment and market that will develop student's attitude, skills, knowledge, and ability required to run a business in the field of animation in a province. The students create a plan of action that further develops one's PECs for animation and demonstrate how to initiate a good animation product. Unit II is the film animation pre-production stage, preparing the character s and objects needed for the film. It includes sketching the scenes and characters for the film storyline. Unit III is the production stage where the actual work starts using an animation software. It covers digital tracing and animating using animation principles that will make a realistic movement. The last unit is the final stage in producing a realistic animated film which includes file management and organization of records and rendering and editing of the final output, a short animation fil. The scenes are joined together and converted to a film which can be viewed by anyone on any standard digital movie player." --Preface
