Summary: "This course intends to sow in the would-be teachers the genuine desire to be professional and ethical in their behavior and in their relationship with school and community. These would-be teachers eventually become school leaders and managers themselves and so must be prepared for a leadership and management style that supports the building of a positive school culture. This textbook is highly integrative, interactive, constructivist, reflective in approach. Every chapter follows the 4 As - Activity, Analysis, Abstraction and Application. The students are asked to engage in an individual or group activity (reading, singing, drawing, etc.), analyze the activity with the help of guide questions. Then they are led to the abstraction phase where teacher affirms whatever he/she needs to affirm from the analysis of the students and corrects or completes whatever is erroneous or incomplete. In the abstraction phase, teacher gives his/her input as an expert through an integrative lecturette. This abstraction phase leads to the application phase. The application phase gives the students varied opportunities to apply in real life what they learned. After the application phase, the most important takeaways are enumerated to refresh the learners' memory before they are assessed in that part on Let's Check for Understanding. This assessment is aligned with the learning outcomes at the beginning of the Chapter. This book is indeed OBE-based." --Preface
