The book also tackles the country's current developmental goals. The book is composed of ten (10) chapters with twenty three lessons on the following basic concepts: Culture, Society, and Politics. The lessons discuss specific topics derived from these basic concepts. Each lessons has objectives, motivational spring board, discussion and analysis, summary, study helps, proposed issues and concerns for critical discussion and research, and summative worksheet. The content and process will expose learners to interactive-experiential process of learning that evoke critical and analytical thinking and other higher mental processes. The book espouses the outcome-based education (OBE) approach. The learners are expected to engage in research and projects that are evidenced-based. Their research outputs and projects shall be discussed in the class to assure that the processes enrich the cognitive as well as the affective levels of learning to effect action." --Provided by the author.
