Summary: "This book focuses on the basic police report such as the police blotter which is usually written by police officers in the stations. Furthermore, the police reports used as examples in this book are actual police reports and directly taken from the stations by the author's students (police officers) who underwent mandatory training such as the Public Safety Junior Leadership Course, but for the sake of privacy and security of the persons involved their real identities were hidden and the names in those police reports were hypothetical. The said reports were also edited to serve its academic purposes and to protect the integrity of the people whose names were originally appeared in the police blotter. This book does not only contain the different rules of technical (police) report writing, but also included topics on grammar, sentence structures, and mechanics, among others as required by CHED Memorandum Order 21, series of 2005 -- "Criminal Justice Education: Police Standards for the Criminology Program" to further improve the writing competencies of criminology and public safety students not only its content, but also its form. Finally, this book provides updated PNP Standard Operating Procedure and memorandum pertaining to police report writing so that a user of this book is guided accordingly. It also follows ther Outcome-Based Education (OBE) which most universities and colleges use today. It will serve also as their guide to further enhance their writing repertoire so that they will perform their duties effectively and efficiently." -- The Author
