Summary: "The Code Annotated Series consists of ten Codes, annotated with Supreme Court decisions. The first editions were published in 1999. These editions are published in 2014 or some 15 years after the first editions, thus updating the reader with the latest decisions of the Supreme Court. The author humbly entertain the ambition of illustrating the dynamics between Congress and the Supreme Court in designing a Philippine legal tradition. To be brief and logical she include only the Supreme Court decisions promulgated under the 1987 Constitution, prior cases having passed into desuetude. Included also cases decided by the Supreme Court until August 2013, as reported in the latest volume of Supreme Court Reports Annotated (SCRA). In this edition, the appendices include the latest Supreme Court issuances up to 2012. Notably, the Supreme Court issued new rules on the Writ of Kalikasan, Writ of Habeas Data and Writ of Amparo. In addition, the Court issued guidelines for litigation in a pilot area, guidelines for the conduct of pre-trial and use of deposition and other discovery measures and amendments to Rules of 41, 45, 58, and 65." -- Provided by the author.
